This technique involves first painting on a jelly plate and then pressing paper or canvas onto it to produce a one-time print. I've conducted around 250 painting experiments to explore the textures and patterns achievable using different media such as water, gel, and ethyl alcohol. Most of the lines and shapes were achieved not using brushes but with various tools like cardboard, combs, sticks, and stencils. The visual results were extraordinary and could not be easily achieved using other painting techniques involving brushes and palette knives. The outcome is 20+ paintings primarily created using this indirect painting technique to portray the beauty and significance of Hong Kong, a place I have lived in, studied, visited, and have a deep interest in.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0665/2094/0802/files/WhatsApp_Image_2024-06-13_at_16.00.14.jpg?v=1718870637
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0665/2094/0802/collections/WhatsApp_Image_2024-06-19_at_15.37.44.jpg?v=1718782743
